About
Dromoland Castle, a historic hotel in County Clare, near Shannon Airport, maintains a clay shooting range on its wooded estate. The activity uses international Sporting Clays machines and welcomes individuals or groups, including those who have never handled a firearm, with professional instruction and a focus on safety. According to the hotel, shooting is available year-round, with advance booking by phone or reservations email. The minimum age is 15. The pin marks the castle estate, not the exact shooting station. It is a practical option for combining the sport with golf, dining and high-end accommodation in western Ireland.
ClaysUp Take
Dromoland offers an instructed clay-shooting session in wooded castle grounds, with the wider hotel providing a natural setting for golf, dining and a stay. The emphasis is on guided participation for individuals or groups, not independent range use. Reserve ahead and confirm the shooting meeting point; the estate map reference should not be treated as the exact stand.
