Bovey Castle Clay Pigeon Shooting
North Bovey, Devon, United Kingdom
Disciplines
- Trap
About
In the heart of Dartmoor National Park, Bovey Castle sets aside a small clay shooting area on its own grounds, with traps presenting incoming and outgoing targets — an ideal introduction to the sport. Guns, ammunition, safety glasses and hearing protection are provided, with instruction for different skill levels. The hotel also offers a separate experience about 30 minutes away by car. Booking is required for the activity; check availability with the team. The location on the map indicates the property; confirm the clay shooting meeting point when booking.
ClaysUp Take
Bovey's on-estate clay shooting is best understood as a compact, instructed introduction within a Dartmoor hotel stay. Incoming and outgoing targets, with supplied equipment, keep the focus on learning rather than course size. A separate off-site experience also exists, so confirm which session you are booking and the meeting location before building the rest of your visit.
