About
Adare Manor, a neo-Gothic mansion in the village of Adare, County Limerick, maintains its own clay shooting range on the estate, near Gamekeeper's Cottage. The range has 14 Laporte traps, and the hotel provides 12-gauge Browning shotguns for participants to use. Instruction is one-on-one, with a team of instructors accompanying each shooter, from beginner to experienced, and the activity is also suitable for groups. Children aged 14 and over may participate; children under 11 are not allowed to remain at the range. Bookings are made by request to the hotel. The pin marks the estate's location, not the exact shooting station.
ClaysUp Take
Adare's appeal is the intimacy of an estate shooting session rather than the scale of a competition ground. Fourteen Laporte traps and individual instruction give the experience substance, while the manor's dining, golf and accommodation broaden the visit. Arrange the session through the hotel and confirm the meeting point: the map identifies the estate, not the shooting position.
